Process Test Engineer
Canvas is looking for a process test engineer who is inspired by the challenge of creating new automation tools for the construction industry. We have built a new tool that protects workers and increases productivity. This position will be responsible for developing tests and metrics to evaluate the Canvas process in lab and on-site. As the process lead you will own the design and execution of tests, you will work closely with the field operations team to understand the manual process and the evaluation criteria for the task. A key part of this position will be to create process models that enable the system to make autonomous corrections to ensure a high quality finish. You will be a key member of the mechanical team providing feedback on the performance and design of the tools and end effectors.

Develop test strategy and procedures for the Canvas surface treatment process.
Implement tests and metrics to quantify surface finish.
Work with field operations and business development teams to understand industry standards and practices
Conduct process tests, collect and analyze data to create process models.
Create timelines and tractable milestones for tests and new features.
Utilize data collected by the system to prioritize system and process development by effect on productivity.
Coordinate with field operations team on the deployment of the tools at the construction site.
Envision, define, and explore the next generation use cases for the system.
B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field
2+ years of relevant experience in test design and process modeling
Experience with data analysis and documentation
Ability to work independently and able use the team and cross functional resources efficiently, effectively and collaboratively to achieve the best results in the available time.
